KUALA LUMPUR, 21 June 2022 – Museum Of Illusions Kuala Lumpur ❲MOIKL❳ is now reopened, after being closed for 2 years during the pandemic. Armed with an all-new layout featuring more unique exhibits, MOIKL is the go-to place for the young and old to be thrilled, entertained, confused and completely blown away, as Malaysians experience the unimaginable and explore intriguing, visual, sensory and educational experiences. So are you ready for a fascinating adventure?

MOI is a 21st century museum conceptualised to offer an interactive museum experience that will amuse and amaze visitors. The first MOI opened in the Croatian capital of Zagreb in 2015 and since then, the MOI brand has grown to 37 museums. This includes outlets in New York, Chicago, Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Athens, Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, Cairo, Shanghai, New Delhi, and Toronto, making MOI the world’s fastest growing chain of private museums. Each Museum is designed to include illusionistic rooms, optical illusions and a playroom with didactic games and puzzles, with all exhibits on science, mathematics and psychology allowing visitors to learn a lot about vision, perception, and the human brain through attractive and fun exhibits.

“We’re excited to finally reopen our doors after being closed during the pandemic. The all-new MOIKL is indeed bolder and better, offering Malaysians of all ages a one-of-a-kind sensory experience, right in the heart of KL. MOIKL has also evolved to be a perfect place for team building activities, school excursions and brand launches, so come on over and step into the world of the unimaginable with us,” said Stanley Ng Kar Hoong, Marketing and Sales Manager, MOIKL.

The all-new MOIKL is home to 50 exhibits that are set to leave Malaysians in awe. First up, the Vortex Tunnel. This bizarre and exciting exhibit tricks your mind and body into thinking and feeling like the ground beneath you is moving, when in fact it is completely still. Next, check out Infinity Room and Infinity Well. The former is a special place where you can experience infinity from every single corner, thanks to the infinity mirrors that create this optical illusion of infinite space. Meanwhile, as for the latter, you now have the opportunity to explore what it would be like to float inside a well.

Furthermore, Following Eyes is another exhibit that is not to be missed. This is an optical illusion in which concave eyes appear as convex. So if you observe them for long enough and move to the left or right, the eyes of P.Ramlee will seem to follow you wherever you go!

“We believe it’s not merely enough to excite and thrill visitors with illusions. Instead, we want to invite our guests to discover the why and the how, and uncover the inner workings of our heads. Therefore, we want to intrigue the minds of Malaysans, change their perception and to show them that everything is not always as it seems. In doing so, we can also educate our visitors and help them learn how our brain perceives what we see with our eyes,” said Ana Jakovac, Project Manager, MOIKL.

MOIKL also homes a series of mind-bending and Insta-worthy exhibits. This includes Ames Room – the perfect place for people to have fun with their heights and Reversed Room – one of the few places where you can play with gravity. So tap into your creativity, and do as many poses as possible. The ever-popular Kaleidoscope and Swap Noses are also not to be missed, allowing you to see your facial features and expressions like never before. Additionally, if you ever wondered how it would be to have a little chat or a poker game with five of your clones, Clone Table is the place to be.
