Kuala Lumpur, 16 November 2019 – Malaysia’s first isotonic drink, 100PLUS, gets Malaysians on their feet with an active lifestyle event – 100PLUS Aktifkan Malaysiaku. The three-part nationwide call to an active lifestyle started in Kota Kinabalu, followed by Kuala Terengganu, with its finale flag-off taking place in Kuala Lumpur on the 16th of November at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. 100PLUS Aktifkan Malaysiaku is a call for an active lifestyle among Malaysians and aims to encourage more to start living an active lifestyle and giving their 100% in everything they do, fueled by 100PLUS.
The 100PLUS initiative, Aktifkan Malaysiaku flagged-off over 10,000 Malaysians in attendance, along with 100PLUS ambassadors Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei, Hairul Azreen, Mira Filzah and Syafiq Kyle, who ran and cheered on participants as they stomped the grounds of Bukit Jalil National Stadium for an exciting 6KM run. The ambassadors also took to the stage a warm up Zumba session prior to flag-off, as well as engaged with the crowd with interactive sessions and meet and greets with fans. The event culminated in a series of show-stopping performances by some of Malaysia’s best homegrown talent such as Ara Johari, De Fam and Hael Husaini.
“While we’ve long been associated with sporting moments in Malaysia, we are also more than sports. 100PLUS is a fun and exciting brand that is relevant to anyone who leads an active lifestyle in this fast-moving modern world that we live in, making it applicable in all physical moments where hydration is concerned. We hope that with 100PLUS Aktifkan Malaysiaku campaign, Malaysians are able to strike a balance between getting active in the name of health but in new and fun ways with 100PLUS, and discover what it truly means to live a balanced and active lifestyle,” said Graham Lim, Director Marketing (Malaysia) F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd of 100PLUS Malaysia.
For the first time ever, 100PLUS introduced the brand’s latest environmental initiative in the form of t-shirts that are made entirely of recycled plastic bottles that were given out to all participants of the run. This will mark the start of more green initiatives and innovations to come as the brand keeps the nation active and hydrated.
Lim goes on to say “We are extremely proud of this initiative and we are glad to launch it with 10,000 ‘rakyat’ at 100PLUS Aktifkan Malaysiaku. As we encourage Malaysians to stay active and hydrated it was only seamless for us to turn the bottles that you drink from everyday into t-shirts you could be wearing tomorrow. We hope to make a positive impact on the environment and in the daily lives of Malaysians as they give their 100% in everything they do!
This has been an innovation in the works for some time now and we wanted to ensure that we have a sustainable system in place to ensure the longevity of the initiative before introducing it to Malaysia.
Be it at work or at home, we live in a fast-moving environment that requires us to be constantly on the go, and our health should always be at the forefront. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun with it along the way, so grab yourself a 100PLUS and let’s get active.
