Singapore, 5 July 2019 – Asia’s Largest Festival at Sea, IT’S THE SHIP is giving back to the ship community by hosting the third edition of Deck Selecta. IT’S THE SHIP invites novice turntablists and mix maestros to put their mixing talents to the test in this annual competition and stand to win the opportunity to perform alongside world class DJs.
Open to all DJs from every corner of the globe, Deck Selecta stays true to IT’S THE SHIP commitment in encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone, challenging participants to be as creative as possible and to explore their musical boundaries in their mixtape submission. IT’S THE SHIP will shortlist the top 3 DJs and these DJs will have their mixtapes available on IT’S THE SHIP website for the public to vote.
The top voted DJ will be the one lucky winner to partake in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical skills alongside IT’S THE SHIP’s world-class DJs. The top voted DJ will also get to experience the all-inclusive voyage (yes, round trip airline flight tickets to Singapore are also included!) on board IT’S THE SHIP Singapore from the 13th – 15th November this year.

IT’S THE SHIP
Since its inception in 2014, the IT’S THE SHIP brand has grown to become Asia’s largest festival at sea with the highest representation of shipmates from over 87 countries around the world. What some may consider as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, others consider as an annual milestone event – offering shipmates with a variety of fun activities, themed parties, and non-stop music – all on international waters. Previous sailings have seen popular artistes Lil Jon, Knife Party, Yellow Claw, Higher Brothers, and Dash Berlin hyping up the crowd, with 2019 being no exception. This year will mark the epic shipcation’s sixth embarkation with multiple sailings planned to take place within different regions.
