PENANG, 4 October 2022 – Designed by creatives for creatives, Cult Creative is bringing back its Future List 2022 career summit, partnering with leading local and international universities to secure graduates’ futures into the creative industry. Held on 29 October 2022 in Penang, Future List 2022 is a one-day live and virtual initiative to nurture creative talents by opening opportunities to expose students and jobseekers.

“Coming out from a pandemic, the traditional workplace environment that we are used to is completely transformed to a digital-centric environment. To help with the transition, this initiative aims to enrich, empower and expose creative graduates to different perspectives, skills and creative insights. Designed by creatives for creatives, we want to equip go-getters with high-quality content and resources to pursue their goals and find their feet in the ever-evolving creative industry, while fostering relationships between the growing creative community,” said Lisa Esa, Editorial Director and Co-founder of Cult Creative.

Empowering creatives to take control of their futures

Jobseekers are living through some of the most uncertain times in the past century—from a global pandemic to an economic recession and the highest unemployment rate to date. So, what gives hope for graduates? For Cult Creative, a professional network app for job-seeking creatives and employers to find each other, the future is now.

As a result, fostering new creative talent is more important than ever. The class of 2022 are stepping out into a different playing field than when things were pre-pandemic. Workplaces, communication tools and values are different. However, this new environment is more welcoming for fresh ideas because of these changing scenarios. Switching from onsite to online in a heartbeat, fresh graduates grew resilience, motivation, and persistence, which will be turned into creative achievements in a few years. Now, graduates are given time to self-reflect and face their role in the world to yield more passionate and dynamic creative work.

“There has been a massive shift in the job landscape for creative graduates, especially over the last couple of years, due to unforeseen circumstances. Jobseekers are now needed to pivot and adapt to the changing environment, to stand out from the crowd. Cult Creative’s career summit serves as the perfect platform for grads to future-proof themselves, while upskilling and networking with the larger creative community to help discover new opportunities,” said Junady Nawawi, Group CEO of MyCreative Ventures.
