TVBAnywhere+ App Launches Lite VOD Plan in Malaysia Featuring Exclusive Content From TVB Anywhere

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 DECEMBER 2020 – TVB Anywhere Limited – owned by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), Hong Kong’s leading TV broadcaster, has launched the Lite Video on Demand (VOD) plan on TVBAnywhere+ in Malaysia. TVBAnywhere+ is a video-streaming application that offers compatibility with different devices. As part of the Lite VOD plan launch campaign, TVB Anywhere is also offering a free, six-month trial to users who sign up before 31st December, and a flat rate of RM4.90/month thereafter, to enjoy exclusive content form TVB Anywhere. The Lite VOD plan also comes with no contract, allowing users to cancel their plan at any time.

The launch also goes in hand with the release of two highly-anticipated series, Impossible 3 (非凡三俠) and Beauty & The Boss (愛美麗狂想曲). The former is a six-episode series that was filmed in Malaysia, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Bosco Wong, Julian Cheung, Chrissie Chau, Moses Chan, Vincent Wong and Samantha Ko. The crime drama follows three strangers who get entangled in a series of mysterious cases, which leaves them in a manhunt involving both the cops and the triads. Malaysian actress Jovane Phang also stars in the drama, which features several scenes in the Klang Valley, including Sunway Lagoon and Petaling Street.

On the other hand, Beauty & The Boss is a romantic and comedy drama, featuring celebrities such as Moses Chan and Ali Li. On-shelf from 14th December onwards, Beauty & The Boss follows the adventures of Wong Lai-mei and her employer, Matt, in their quest to find love, while navigating through the twists and turns of failed marriages, new-found romance and career development.

“With the current pandemic forcing a slowdown on the economy, we would like to show our support by making our OTT-exclusive content easily accessible for our online audiences in Malaysia. Therefore, we are offering a six-month free trial for anyone who signs up for the Lite VOD plan by 31st December. Our platform also features a variety of dramas that are exclusive to TVBAnywhere+, including TVB Anywhere Originals and exquisitely hand-picked acquired content from Hong Kong local productions as well as around the Greater China region,”

said Terence Yau, Assistant General Manager of TVB Anywhere.

In addition to the two long-anticipated dramas, TVBAnywhere+ Lite VOD plan also offers a host of top rated programmes. Follow famous Feng Shui practitioner, Lee Shing Chak’s very own segment, Master’s Talk for a flow of healthy energy. Next, catch actress Gigi Wong, as she hosts her very own cooking show, Gigi’s Pot Of Love 2

Meanwhile, for those looking to kick back with a cuppa in hand, check out the intriguing talk shows, Coffee, You and Me and Tiger’s Talk. The former follows Steven Ma’s private interviews with 15 celebrities, including Hong Kong’s top goddess Vivian Chow, as well as long lost celebrities such as Lai Sui Yan, Dicky Cheung, Annie Liu Xin You and many more. The latter features Christine Ng and Bob Lam, who uncover the deepest secrets of celebrities, from a wide range of topics. TVBAnywhere+ Lite VOD plan is also set to feature upcoming exclusive dramas and variety shows including Decretion Theatre (欺詐劇團), AI Rhapsody (智能愛(AI)人) and many more.

Additionally, TVBAnywhere+ houses over 10,000 hours of content in its database for users in Malaysia offering an all-round viewing experience for online audiences, with a large library of TVB drama series and variety shows available for free in the free zone. Upon signing up for the Lite VOD plan, users will enjoy new features to deliver a better user experience. This includes two concurrent views per account and a TV casting feature, so users can cast shows from their devices to the TV.  Next, the download (watch offline) function will be made available soon.

TVBAnywhere+ is available for download on Play Store and App Store, with its free zone being launched in Malaysia in June this year. So sign up for the all-new Lite VOD plan by 31st December, to enjoy the six-month free trial period right away!
