KUALA LUMPUR, 17 September 2020 – Cadbury Dairy Milk, Malaysia’s favourite confectionery brand under Mondelēz International (Mondelez) has announced the return of its popular localised limited-edition flavour, Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian. Exclusively created for the Malaysian market, the chocolatier is paying homage to Malaysian flavours and cultures for the third time, following the success of Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian last August and Cadbury Dairy Milk Kopi C in 2018.
“We are truly excited about the reaction and support towards our uniquely Malaysian’s favourite flavours over the years. Last year, we created a flavour that not only celebrated local flavours but one that also truly resonated with the nation to commemorate our long-established presence in Malaysia. Given its limited run last year, not all Malaysians were able to sample this innovative creation. As such, relaunching Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian will extend the opportunity for others to sample the union of smooth Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate against the iconic flavour of The King of Fruits, with hopes that they too can be part of our celebration.” shared Rahul Mathur, Category Manager, Chocolates for Mondelez International, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian presents a delicious blend of bold durian flavour and silky smooth milk chocolate, bringing together the decadent flavours that Malaysians appreciate and love. The return of the local favourite also marks new size offerings of 40g and 100g bars, providing even greater snacking options for more occasions.
As part of Mondelēz International’s Snacking Made right purpose, the return of Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian also strives to bring the global confectioner’s to lead the future of snacking by offering the right snack for the right moment, made the right way. These localised flavours were created as a response to the Malaysian pride in local food and flavours and is a perfect representation of a seamless integration of global and local icons.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Durian is now available in major Hypermarkets and Supermarkets nationwide from now until 31st October 2020 with a recommended selling price of:
